Afghan Finished!

I finally got Colin's afghan finished last week! Now it's packed away in a big plastic bag awaiting the fair. Fortunately he's old enough to understand why I'm not giving it to him to use right away. :)

Details: Easy Ripple Afghan freebie pattern. Lion Brand Vanna's Choice yarn in Navy, Brick, Olive, Rust, and Purple. Addi Crochet Hook in size 6.0mm(J-10).

As you can see, it has been tested and approved by both Gracie the Tortie, and Pat the Panda.

Thanks to all of you for the nice compliments!

Rebecca, it's *very* long. It had to be 50x70 to qualify for the fair, and I ended up making it over 60" long because I was using up extra yarn. I hope it will wear well and Colin will still be able to use it when he gets to be a big brute. :)

Amanda, Colin picked the colors himself...well, with a wee bit of guidance. He wanted brown in there, too, but the brown shade in that yarn didn't go well with the other colors. It had a strange gray tone to it.

Brenda, thanks for stopping by and commenting! I haven't seen you in ages; we need to get a Tarheel gathering organized one of these days. That afghan *is* cozy, it was very nice to work on during the cold winter but not so enjoyable in this heat. :)

Feel free to make one for me before the 2009 Fair! (JOKING! I just wanted to send you a comment while using a.... uhm.... hhhhhmmmm... ahem... MAC! Scott's uncle has a Mac. I also used Macs in college... I could possibly handle a 'personal Mac,' but for now, I will stick to my PC!)
